Line- Lines are very important in art. They can be used in many ways, such as outlining things, make hashes with them and even shade things with them. An example of lines is when I was drawing my Van Gogh drawing, and I needed to use lines to make the hashes. There are many types of lines. Lines can be straight, curvy, thick, thin, they can dark and light and they can be all different colors.
Shape- Shapes are a very important element of art. Shapes can determine what a picture looks like. If you need to draw the earth, you can draw a circle if you need to draw houses you can draw squares. There are many different types of shapes such as squares, rectangles, circles, triangles, diamonds and more. They can be any size and any color. An example of shape is when I did my Van Gogh drawing I need to draw a mountain so I drew a triangle type space. …show more content…
They can be used to draw things like pyramids, boxes and other things that require you to see the whole picture, not just the front. For an example, if I were to draw a house, and I needed to show the side of the house, I would draw the form so you can see the other side.
Space- Space can mean a number of things in art. It can mean how much space on the paper you use, for an example you have to plan out if you're going to use to the whole page or just a small amount. It can also mean how you space things out, for an example how much space each line will take up and how big the drawing will
