My philosophy is to achieve optimal effort in everything I undertake, although I have a bio-neurological condition that many would view as a hindrance, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). My medical conditions do not define me; they instill a greater determination to reach my goals. While I am often presented, by way of my ADHD and eosinophilic diagnoses with dilemmas to be solved, I face these hurdles willingly because I feel that I am a more rounded human due to them. Living with the unforeseeable nature of my esophagitis, in particular, I believe I possess the tenacity to manage any environment. For example, I have resolutely undertaken demanding decisions, such as locating housing and veterinary care for often frightened cats and kittens in my volunteer duties. In these situations, calm strength combined with compassion is the most effective strategy. Likewise, public events at WCVE and my after-school/weekend jobs have often presented me with equally unanticipated circumstances, such as having only myself to rely on, completing unfamiliar tasks with time constraints, or needing to adopt innovative angles in communicating with someone. On occasions when a solution is not immediately possible, I assure whomever I am working with that I will keep striving, and then unearth a way to solve the problem
