Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States and he was a very underestimated leader. Since before him some presidents were not stern whilst in office. The South underestimated the power Lincoln possessed and left the union when President Lincoln was elected into office. He made the largest impression in history as the president during the Civil War.
Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 in a small log cabin in Kentucky. In 1816, his family moved to Indiana, where he worked to provide for his family. In 1830, he became a worker on a flatboat hauling freight in the town of New Salem, Illinois. Lincoln was self-taught in law and passed his exam in 1836, which lead to him becoming a lawyer in the State
