The events that surrounded the conceptualization and the maturity of the Nazi nationalism were felt in and outside Germany. The Holocaust was the climax of the Nazi propaganda. The account of the Holocaust was established through a systematic chain and combination of events that resulted in the realization of the nationalism agenda. One of the means through which nationalism propaganda was created and multiplied among the German people was through the depiction of good versus evil as was portrayed to Germans against non-Germans. The achievement of the Nazi nationalism propaganda finds its basis in the means that were easy to penetrate the minds of the people, and manipulation of people’s minds to perceive nationalism as Adolf Hitler wanted. Adolf Hitler started the Nazi nationalism through the creation of symbolic identities, whose use was the imagery propagation of the nationalism propaganda (Herf, 5). The first symbolism was the Nazi flag which was used by the propagators of the nationalism to inspire the idea into the minds of the nationalism supporters. The Nazi flag was also a constant reminder of the propaganda to the victims of Nazism and the enemies of Germany. Adolf Hitler also used his image, which was well designed illustrating him as a divinity who would liberate Germany. The use of Hitler’s image, which is also referred to as the ‘Deification of Hitler’ was a created theme of the Nazi party to portray him as the German prophet of the time. The Nazi nationalism was meant to make the German people to love their country to the extent of sacrificing their lives for the prosperity of their nation. The superiority of the Germans that was created through Nazi nationalism was meant to make Germany a stronger and better country. However the results of the Nazism were not admirable because many innocent people were killed for being weak Germans, being non-Germans or for speaking against the Nazi ideology. However, the effect of the Nazi nationalism was more destructive than constructive. The Nazi ideology was deeper than the usual historical narrative of genocide, but also included the introduction of an education system that was detrimental to the lives of the German people. For example, the encouragement of the German children to the use of guns as toys and to enjoy fighting had adverse effects to the present-life Germany. The Nazi nationalism ideology also involved biased education system, which deprived girls a chance to study various subjects such as sciences and mathematics. This affected the career development of the German women, thus encouraging women to become house wives.
