On the experiences of ambulant ice cream vendors, there are three major themes generated: income as support to education needs, income as support to the educational needs, competitors as hindrances in the success of the business, and bad weather resulting to low income. Based on the findings of these experiences, it implies, that ambulant ice cream vendors' journey was never easy. They have to exhaust themselves for almost 4-8 hours everyday just to roam around the community hoping to get a customer. They exerted tantamount of effort just to not come to their families empty-handed. The pressure put on their shoulders is no joke. They are the bread winners of their family. They are the ones supporting the education of their children and siblings and they are the ones whom their families rely on to provide their daily needs.
Thus, there is a need for the Department of Accounting Education and school administration to alleviate and extend knowledge on these ambulant ice cream vendors, especially with educating them on how to properly manage their income to …show more content…
Ambulant ice cream vendors should utilize advertising and other paraphernalia that would serve an instrumental for their profit maximization. In addition, they should possess stored knowledge on basic costing in order to minimize the expenses that would eventually lead for their business to be at its peak level. They apply the “Entity Concept” which characterized by segregating their personal lives from their business. This implies that whatever personal expenses they may incur, it should not be taken from the income of the business. Putting emphasis on how they budget in order to properly manage their income is one key that will lead to the success they have been aiming
