Whether you're companies are lashing with other companies or advertising the brand name the importance about business is letting knowing that your brand-name is the best of all other brands. So how do you convince the public that your brand-name is better than the others? Nike and Adidas use professional athletes convincing them that multimillionaire athletes buy great quality. They use the TV in the commercials and talk to the public they're cool gear is what makes them the athlete they are today. Your favorite athletes that are on TV convince you if you wear their cool gear you're going to look cool and perform at high level when playing sports. Apple doesn't have athletes to promote their brand but they have cool devices the other companies don't. Making them have an advantage of other companies. An example would be the iPod that made them the company they are today. No one could compete with Apple because nobody had to cool iPod that you could store thousands of songs in a little computer. Majority of college student in American don't have much money because they majority of the time they are studying or partying. But if they see their friends have the newest up-to-date iPod or Computer they're going to buy it becuase they also want be known as the “the cool” kid that has the cool electronics in college.
