“I hunt the scum of the world.” (Connell 64). By referring to blacks, whites, Chinese and Mongrels as “scum”, and stating that “a score of them is worth less than a thorogood horse” (Connell 64). Shows that he has little respect for people of races other than Serbian and it proves that he is an individual that supports Social Darwinism. Social Darwinism is an idea found in “The Most Dangerous Game” in many different ways. Whether it was Rainsford thinking he was above animals, Zaroff thinking he was above everything because he was Serbian, or Zaroff believing he was most fit to live because he was strong, cunning and slick.
