He has everything that he wants, and the same status as Oedipus has, he is the brother of Oedipus’s wife, but he does not want to rule, the throne will only bring him additional problems. He is honest and he says what he means. He seems having more wisdom, and composure than Oedipus has, and these characteristics that Oedipus needs to have in orders to escape all his faults. Oedipus does not want to hear or to see the truth, he prefers to be blind and deaf, and at the end he would like to kill Creon.
Creon: And you want-what is it, then? To banish me?
