Some desperate parents of the unresponsive children have reported that marijuana helps to maintain their children’s seizures. In order to help their children fight off horrendous seizures, parents are going out of their way to either buy pot at a medical marijuana dispensary or illegally buy it off of the streets. Cannabidiol is the purified compound developed from cannabis. Researchers have found that cannabidiol is what shows promising in treating epilepsy for both adults and children. Researchers are now making first efforts to test cannabidiol in intractable epileptic children. A year-long clinical trial will test whether it decreases epileptic seizures in one hundred and fifty intractable epileptic children
