In the Battle of Gettysburg there were many casualties.The casualties included killed, missing, or wounded. The total number of men in the Union army was over 6,000,000 men, from ages 18 to 45. Over 27% of the Union army had casualties. In the Confederate army there were over 1,000,200 men and 30-34% had casualties. The total estimate of casualties on both sides were 47,040 men.
