Swinging her legs to the left side of the bed beneath her, she stands, only to fall back down as the memories that happened not long before flooded into her mind. Her eyes started to burn as her vision went blurry from the tears forming within her eyes. She remembered the blood splattered on the walls, as well as the lifeless bodies belonging to her beloved parents on pools of what she came to realize was of their own blood.
Athena couldn't help but cry. She wondered if she could have saved them. If it was her fault.

The man can't stop himself as he asks Athena, "do I scare you?", causing her to laugh lightly. She looks up at him and replies, "only at first," which forms a smile on the man's face as he finally looks down at her. To his surprise however, she decides to continue, explaining what she means.
"When I saw how my parents were motionless in pools of their own blood, I knew you were the one that did it. However, something told me you didn't do it on your own free will. I looked at the other man and how he spoke to you. I knew something wasn't right. So yes, I was afraid of you at first, but now, I am not. Especially after how you treated me on the way here and even after that."
The soldier didn't know what to make of it. He was shocked at how calm she sounded, especially considering that her parents had not only been killed, but that she had seen them after it happened.
All things considered, he hugged her tightly, yet carefully so he didn't cause any pain.
