Bo Jackson was born in Bessemer, Alabama, on November 30, 1962, and was given the name Vincent Edward Jackson. Bo Jackson was the eighth child out of ten. It was hard for his mom to support their family with the job as a housekeeper. Bo Jackson was a trouble maker when he was young. Bo would break windows, steal bikes and beat up other kids. When he was thirteen he got caught throwing rocks at pigs. He killed some of the pigs and the man that owned the pigs made him pay for the loss. He had different jobs to earn the $3,000. After Bo had killed the pigs the man told his mom to send him to reform school. Bo got sent to reform school and when he did he put his attention on sports.
