‘Brainy’ Facts The brain. You couldn’t live without it. It helps you move, breathe, eat sleep, et cetera. It is the most complex organ and controls all of your body’s functions. When I was in kindergarten, I had an accident and fractured my skull, had a minor brain bleed and a small concussion In first grade, I had surgery to fix up my brain and skull. All of these injuries took a major toll on my brain.
The brain makes up part of your central nervous system (CNS) along with the spinal cord. It works along with the peripheral nervous system (PNS) to carry out everyday functions. The PNS is made up of nerves that run all along your body. Nerves reach all around …show more content…
It explained each of the three main parts, their subparts, and their functions. As your can see, no one part of the brain is more important the the other. Each has their own hob and helps put with each other to make finely tuned machine. Without your brain, we would be lifeless masses of nothingness that just wasted space. The sources that I had used were a little confusing. If I got the chance to research this topic again, I would want to learn more about the brain neurons. Also, I would want to learn more about the sensory receptors throughout the human body. I feel if I had a better background in neuropsychology, I would have had a better understanding of the articles and would have had an easier time writing this essay. My question was answered and I now have a better idea of how the brain works, why the brain is so important and all the function of the brain parts. Overall, I think writing this was a great learning experience for me and I gained much knowledge from it.
