The SAS Regiment is a corps of the British Army and a part of the United Kingdom Special Forces (UKSF). The SAS Regiment is actually three regiments known as the 21st SAS Regiment, the 22nd SAS Regiment and the 23rd SAS Regiment. The 21st SAS Regiment is a part of the Regular Army, while the 22nd and 23rd regiments are a part of the reserve Territorial Army. The British’s uniforms severely changed when the war in Afghanistan began. An important and noticeable change in the British military is their uniforms. From 2001-2012 alone, the British military’s uniform has become more efficient and a lot more protective. Along with equipment, the actual colors of the uniforms have changed. The original British Army uniform was Desert DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material). This uniform was only useful while wondering through the desert. Now their military wears MTP (Multi-Terrain Pattern) uniforms. The MTP uniforms are like the DPM uniforms, where soldiers are not very visible while in a large desert area, however, the MTP uniforms are also great camouflage when hiding in a woodland area or even around buildings, in a more suburban-like
