Hamlet suffers from his father's murder and vows revenge for him. This tragedy that happened changed the poor Hamlet. Loving someone so much can make the affected become sad, angry, or even unemotional. For Hamlet, it made him the depressed type.

Life of Pi and The Catcher in the Rye are told in first person and Hamlet is told in third person. In Cather in the Rye and Life of Pi, they are told by the protagonist; the person who experiences the story. In Catcher in the Rye, Holden Caulfield is the main protagonist, he is the one who tells the story. Piscine Patel is the main protagonist, but his story is told by someone else as he was Piscine himself.
