Inflammation is our body's response to outside threats like stress, toxic chemicals, viruses, and bacteria. When the immune system senses one of the dangers, it activates certain proteins meant to protect cells and tissues. Normally inflammation serves as a friend (a sore throat for example).
If the immune system overreacts, the inflammation can be turned against our body. Many things can cause chronic inflammation but the most common is the food we eat and liquids we drink. This is where we have the most control.
What Causes Inflammation?
One must first understand alkalinity and acidity to understand the most …show more content…
Too much acid causes acidosis, which cause inflammation—very often chronic inflammation.
So we have to eat less acidic food (sugar is a big one, sugar substitutes except Stevia is another, dairy products and gluten are others. In the drink area soda, alcohol and many sport drinks are very acidic).
Acids come from the H+ ion that is weakly bound to many molecules and easily breaks off, many times forming H3O (hydronium) which is acidic. This acid buildup, even with the correct pH affects our insulin mechanism (which either has us consume more sugar or tells the cells to release it, both of which are bad). It also affects our body flora, which controls over 60% of digestion, (the bad bacteria thrives when acids are present). Many diseases like arthritis, cancer; IBS, heart disease etc. are adversely affected by the chronic inflammation caused by excess acidity. Remember acid can build up in specific areas while the body's pH is in the normal range overall. If the inflammation is chronic the immune system will release proteins and can attack the digestive track causing IBD, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease. It can also attract plaque if within the blood vessels causing blood clots and is linked to heart disease. If near the lungs it is linked to pulmonary …show more content…
You can go to www.namedprogram.com and download for free a week's worth of menus that are 70% alkaline and 30% acidic.
The best thing to do to avoid chronic inflammation is to eliminate the excess acid. Alkaline water will buffer the excess acid that is help with inflammation but it does not eliminate the acids, it just buffers and dilutes it.
Through my peer-reviewed research that you can download at www.drkeithkantor.com (look at print/web) or www.namedprogram.com (go to the blog), I have found that a pure natural hydroxide (OH-) water, which is also alkaline is best. Since H+ ions cause acidity, the OH+ ions in hydroxide water search for the H+ ions to form water (H20), one of the strongest bound molecules in nature and eliminate it from the body through urination. This is the safest most natural method I found through my research to eliminate the acids and therefore inflammation. The actual formula is H3O +OH = 2H2O. The best product I found is AQUA OH-!. It is made from pure limestone, heated and cooled several times and then filtered to remove almost all of the calcium. No chemical or non- natural methods are used. It comes as a concentrate where one concentrated quart makes 32 diluted useable quarts. Because it is a concentrate is it 250%+ less than any other alkaline water I found and it works better since it eliminates the acid instead of just buffering it. It can be
