The birds trust in themselves is exemplified greatly in Robert Frost’s poem The Road Not Taken. For example in stanza 1 lines 1-2 Frost needs to make a decision, “ Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both.” Frost has to choose to go through one of two pathways one of which is used regularly and the other which is barely used, he can either trust the decisions that people before him made or trust himself and go through the pathway no one uses.
