This branch of government is responsible that laws are followed. The President is the head of the executive branch. As this branch is very important for just one person to handle, the president is assisted by the vice president, Cabinet members, and heads of independent agencies. Each of these groups serve a crucial competent in operating the executive branch. The President is responsible for leading the country and commanding the military, the Vice President runs the Senate and becomes President if the President can no longer do the job, Cabinet Members advise the President on issues and help execute policies, and Independent Agencies help carry out policies or provide special services. However, if the President does not approve a bill, they can refuse to sign it. If a President vetoes a bill, congress can override a veto. The President cannot make bills, however if the President were to propose a bill, but only a member of Congress must submit it. As with the judicial branch, the executive branch has its own checks and balances to prevent it from becoming too powerful.
The judicial branch prevents the executive branch from executing laws that violate the constitution. The legislative branch can revoke a Presidential veto with 2/3 vote of both houses.
