Whether or not they are having a bad day, they are expected to leave their personal problems outside the doors of the office. They must always be kind and friendly with patients even when it is difficult. Since the patients always come first, it is also important that staff members never raise their voice at clients even when they know the customer is wrong. One environment that she recognized as especially important was the environment between doctors and staff members. It was important for the organization for the doctors and staff members to maintain a positive work environment. If the environment became negative or disruptive then the environment between the doctors, staff members, and the patients would also be adversely affected.
