Post WW1, Germany was in complete and utter disarray. A new government had been put into place to replace the abdicated Kaiser Wilhems II. The governments’ questionable decision making and democratic government system led to many significant events in Germany from 1919-1945. Founded by Fredrich Ebert in 1919 the Weimar Republic caused a large amount of social, economic and political problems within the country. The Weimar Republic was formed from almost nothing; therefore, the formation of the government had a lot of flaws and rules that people could take advantage of such as; Proportional representation, Article 48. Their indecisiveness and flawed system showed the world the downfalls of democracy. Furthermore, their lack of good decisions broke down many peace relations during the time. Their economic problems made them fall behind on the reparation payments, which led to hyperinflation. Due to this lack of payment, France and Belgium were, arguably, forced to invade the industrial heartland of Germany (Ruhr). This broke down the peaceful relations they had with other neighboring countries. However, during the Stresemann era these problems and relations were fixed in a very peaceful manner. Due to his untimely death, Hitler was appointed as chancellor and disrupted these already repaired relations. This led to lots of political mistrust between the powers and Germany. With Hitler’s refusal to work with democratic countries, keeping international peace became very difficult as that was the most dominant government system of the time. This mistrust began when Hitler withdrew Germany from the League of Nations which didn’t allow Germany to participate in their meetings that build peace relations. Hitler’s disregard for the Treaty of Versailles further increased the tension built up between countries. He started building up his army and occupying lands that weren’t his. The aggressive threat he posed with his army broke down any harmonious affairs with other countries. His occupation of other lands showed his violent intentions towards other powers. Hitler proposed many of his pacts and agreements to other nations, however they were all perceived as violent acts. Hitler wanted to distribute arms to nations and start another war. During this time, the Britain and France were appeasing Hitler and were hoping this phase would pass, however Hitler was adamant to get revenge after WW1 and had the utmost intention to break down international peace and start another
