The lady at the crematorium showed us the crematory machine and went through what happened to the bodies inside them. She also went in depth into the world of embalming and how that was done. She showed us the two chemicals added to the bodies in preparation for their funerals, that were preservatives called arterials and formalin. The funeral director also informed us all that when someone loses their teeth to drug addiction, she has a plastic insert that is placed between their jaw bones to imitate teeth for their visiting hours.
Morgue Doctor:

Kulbis:
Mrs. Kulbis explained how she’s seen people so addicted, that they have tried to get high on smoking coffee grounds. She currently works at the oriental house, and there, they use MAT (Medically Aided Treatment). The Oriental house uses vivitrol, a drug used to block dopamine receptors, to lower an addict’s dopamine threshold. Users can intake drugs while on vivitrol, though they will feel no pleasure from it. This is a phenomenon called anhedonia.
There are two types of treatment. One where patients are free to leave a treatment center, and one where the addict is confined to a certain area.
Mrs. Kulbis went into great detail about the dopamine threshold (the water in the cup) that we have and how, with the influence of drugs, that threshold rises to an almost impossible to reach level naturally. That means that said addicted person can no longer gain pleasure from previous activities that would bring them pleasure because they are used to an unnatural standard. Mrs. Kulbis said it can take years to start bringing an addict’s dopamine threshold back to a normal level.
