Schools teaching or not teaching is definatelt a hot topic lately. There are many who believe there is no ise for it anymore. There is also the other side of the coin(such as myself) who believe cursive is not only importaint, but essential to holding onto a beautiful art of writting, a kind of history,in a sense. You must also take into consideration the physical effects on our brains. As a child it brought me so much joy to learn cursive writting. I personally just felt it was so beautiful, therefore seeing that art disappear saddens me greatly. Cursive is a part of our history as well. Many people have documented things in cursive and losing the ability to read or write it would greatly effect our futures ability to follow history, therefore, we would lose some of our history.

This is something I don't feel should be taken lightly, yes internet and computers are more prominate skills needed in our society, however , we should still carry on teaching cursive in my opinion. The act of not teaching cursive could possibly have terrible recourse in the way of being able to follow our history line lots of document were and are still in cursive and our children wont be able to distinquish them. Lets keep our childrens minds active and creative. Jump in and teach them cursive it will broaden there horizons. Our children should be able to read that letter Great Grandpa wrote Great Grandma to their children.
