The meaning of evil is profoundly immoral and malevolent. Sneaky means sly which also means having or showing a cunning and deceitful nature. Crook means a person who is dishonest or a criminal. Being deceitful means concealing or misrepresenting the truth. For example when you hear someone say “Don’t trust that man he is a snake.” They are trying to say that he cannot be relied on; he is not trustworthy or honest. You sometimes will hear someone call a person who cheats a snake because they are untrustworthy or misrepresenting. You may also hear people refer to thieves as snakes because they are sneaky and deceitful. In this story God created Adam, He was the first man created. God told Adam he could eat fruit from all the trees in the Garden of Eve except for one, the tree of wisdom. He warned Adam “’if you do not obey, you shall die”. God then created a Woman from Adams ribs, and named her Eve. Both Adam and Eve lived naked in the Garden of Eden, as they had no sense. In the same garden, there lived a snake. The snake advised Eve to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge, and told her that if she ate the fruit, she would become wise like god. Tempted by this, Eve ate the fruit and made Adam also eat it. In this story, the Snake is an evil temptress who provokes Adam and Eve to do wrong.
