The top reasons why people try drugs is out of curiosity, rebellious mentality, their social environment, and the availability of a drug. These are the reasons for the drug epidemic across the world. Being in an environment where drugs are being used can put tons of pressure on someone to try. To put it another way, if a girl were to go to a party and there are people using methamphetamine in her presence, she might feel pressured to join. Exposure and publicity of drugs lead people to think that it is acceptable to try. Also, the popularity of a drug can influence someone’s opinion of that particular drug.
