Lyme Disease is a bacterial disease caused by 4 main species of bacteria. The bacteria that it can be caused by is Borrelia burgdorferi, Borrelia mayonii, Borrelia afzelii and Borrelia garinii bacteria. Lyme disease is transmitted by the bite of an infected black-legged tick, also known as a deer tick, but the majority black-legged tick bites do not result in Lyme disease You're more likely to get Lyme disease if you live or spend time in grassy and/or wooded areas where ticks carrying the disease live most. It is important to make sure you do not get ticks in those areas. Many people think it is contagious from human to human, but that is not true.

There is no cure-all treatment for Lyme disease. If it is caught in the early stages, then oral antibiotics will kill off the bacteria causing the Lyme disease. If it goes untreated into later stages, then intravenous antibiotics can work, but it depends on how long the patient has been infected. If they have had Lyme for a longer period of time, then the intravenous antibiotics may not work. After treatment, a small number of people still have some symptoms, such as muscle aches and fatigue. The cause is unknown, and treating with more antibiotics doesn't help. Some experts think that certain people who get Lyme disease are stuck with these later symptoms. To summarize, Lyme disease is a bacterial disease that is underdiagnosed and has no perfect treatment. I personally have Lyme disease, and it affects my life, but it is not very severe for me. For many people, it is way worse. I feel that people are extremely uninformed about it, and it should not be that
