She also burned down her family home while her parents were trapped inside, killed them to live life the way she wants, taking all of her parent’s money in the process. Cathy, also recognizes under the alias of Kate from “East of Eden” is known to be a patient, seductive, manipulative monster. Daisy from “The Great Gatsby” is perceived by men such as Tom and Gatsby as a kind, beautiful, gentle human being, but soon finds out that she is greedy and uses men for economic gain.
