Class President of 2018 Salutations to my respective peers of Ascension Christian High School. I am writing this letter to inform you that I, Madison Harris, am indeed qualified to be the class president of my class: class of 2018. This soon-to-be senior class is among one of the largest classes which will need a diligent class president to coordinate events throughout the senior year and after graduation. As a student, I know that being part of the student council is a very honorable and important duty. A class officer should have characteristics such as being equitable, extroverted, reliable, and organized. I consider myself to be a great spokesperson and relatable. Through my years of being a student, I have noticed that sitting back and listening is a great way to get the truth. Many students express their ideas and beliefs of the school openly during break and lunch. It will be my duty as a student on the council to receive opinions and make them noticed by administrators. Responsibilities for class president include but are not limited to: intaking concerns and/or complaints from students, ensuring that school events are well advertised, and forming a class project, and all other senior-related activities. What I believe and many other teachers can agree on, is that Ascension Christian needs a library. Reading is a dire need and Mrs. Elliott and Mrs. Kleinpeter can testify to that. It has been proven that reading can improve one’s ACT score which is a very important step to college. By hosting a book drive and dressdown day, the school can raise enough money for books of many genres. Another event that should occur next year is the powder puff game. This game was a great success this year and could provide funds for another project in which the senior student body will vote
