The people who carried out these attacks were of Cuban origin, and not necessarily U.S. citizens. During one of these attacks, a news director for WQBA radio in Miami was leaving the studio and as he started his car, a bomb exploded in the engine, leaving him amputated from the waist down. The apparent cause of the bombing of Emilio Milian was because he was speaking out against the other terrorist acts going on in Miami because many were upset with the control of Fidel Castro in Cuba. The Orlando attack could have been prevented by enforcing stricter gun laws, and no, this is not advocating for taking away guns completely, but more of an advocacy for making sure guns/assault weapons do not land in the wrong hands. This was an attack carried out by two men who were advocates of Islamic terrorism. There are a few things to be learned from this attack, and we can use these to implement better security for future events with a large amount of people.
