Have you ever heard of Malala Yousafzai, Alex Libby, or Craig Kielburger? These are three of the many teen activists in the world. A teen activist is someone who makes a difference in the world. That’s what all of these people have done. But they all have to be brave to stand up for what they believe in. Some ways are harder than others. Malala stood up for all kids' education. Alex stood up against bullying. Last, Craig stood up for child slavery. Could you change the world like one of these three people?

Craig stood up for child slavery. On their website, www.freethechildren.com, one day in the newspaper he saw an article about Iqbal Masih, a twelve year old boy that was a former child slave in Pakistan but was murdered because he spoke up for human rights. Craig was as twelve at the time and wanted to make a difference in the world. Craig convinced a handful of seventh graders and his brother Marc to help. They created a program called, Free the Children. They realized that this wasn’t enough to get the word out so they then created another program called, Adopt a Village. This provides food, water, and shelter to those who don’t have it. He had many obstacles for example, they didn’t get the word out well so they had to make another program.
