Before any American citizen was allowed to vote without being hassled because of their ethnicity, women were got approved to vote as well, but still received some conflict. In the article, “Selma to Montgomery March” it states that a couple days before the Fifteenth Amendment was signed by President Johnson, Martin Luther King, Jr. marched from Selma Montgomery under a federal court order with protection of National troops. No man cannot vote based on the color of their skin, according to a staff writer on the history website. Fifty years later after this march, the online news article on MSNBC reported that President Barrack Obama is confronting congress to increase voting right due to the numeral racial conflict around the country (Lee, Wang, 2015.) The president believes there is still racial confrontation in the country. People need to see that everyone is human, and each one is entitled to equal
