Reputation is the way other people see you as and integrity is how you see yourself. Reverend Parris and Abigail Willams chose to protect their reputation. Rebecca Nurse and John Proctor protected their integrity and didn't care how other people saw them. Abigail protected her reputation by not confessing to falsely accusing other people of witchcraft. Reverend Parris didn't want anybody to know that Betty, his daughter, was sick.
