Starting a new lesson unit this week, we will begin to explore about the idea of how food is process and about our favorite types of food we personally enjoy. We will learn our new high frequency word “y” (and). In whole group we will use the Promethean board where I will model for them the writing sample they will need to do in their personal journals. I will ask what goes on top (date), what goes next (sentence), and then their picture. Each student will have 20 minutes to complete this assignment during which if a student finishes before the time is up they will have time to play.

Another strength was that I model for the students how how their writing and drawing should like in their own individual journal. In doing this modeling helps the student have a clear a better understanding on what they should be doing in their own journal. Talking and observing my students, I have notice the several of them have some type of difficulty writing the sentence the should be working on. Several of the students don’t start their sentence right next to the red line, might make their words biger than necessary needed, and students tend to write one idea but draw another one. I would not come them weakness in the lesson plan but rather changes or suggestions to improve for next time. One of the considerations would be by having the students read or repead all the fruit words listed on the white board this is to reinforce the knowledge being learn (vocabulary). Second, it would be a good idea to have visual aids to help students better understand the concept we are trying to learn. Lastly, to have my writing or the writing example I am doing with the students be large enough for all students to visualy see it. This is highly important because it would help students to see my example and will not distract other students by getting up to see what is on the board. In my methods class we talk and read articles about the importance of using useful technology resources to enhance students
