Freddy Krueger is a man who had a rough life from the start. His mother, Amanda Krueger was a nurse at the psychiatric ward where she was locked away, with all the insane people by accident, for days and raped by hundreds of men. As a result of all the rape, she became pregnant with her son Freddy. This is the first major example of human error resulting in his life. He would have never been created and born if his mother was never locked away in the room with maniacs. From the moment Krueger was born, he was known as the bastard son of a hundred maniacs. Shortly after his birth, his mother died, so he was put into foster care where he was brutally mistreated for years by his foster parents which resulted in him harming himself with razors. He grew up and went on to have a family and worked at a plant in his hometown. While he was at the plant, he would abduct small children to molest and kill them at the plant where he wouldn’t get caught. Freddy Krueger was created because of a story that Wes Craven read about in an LA newspaper. The story is of a child that survived the killing fields of Cambodia and made it to the United States. The family made it to the United States and the child continuously told his parents of this creature that would come into his dreams and chase him. The creature would try and kill him every time. Each time the child told his parents of this, his parents just thought their child had an overactive imagination. Eventually the child got so scared that he stayed up every night for days on end. When the child finally fell asleep from over exhaustion, his parents believed the terrors were over. The child started screaming in the middle of the night but his parents were too late. He died in the middle a nightmare. The idea that someone could be killed in the dream world and then the death transfers to the real world was the basis for Freddy
