Students are required to manage time for scheduled sessions, follow-up work, wider reading practice, completion of assessment task and revision (Tomas, Hockings, Ottaway and Jones, n.d). The lapse in one of the above segregation will lead to non-compliance of assigned work and eventually affect the academic performance of the student. Student will be able to understand in what area he or she requires to spend special time to complete the task on due date. This will make them reflect on their interests and preferences and take responsibility of their own learning. The students therefore will learn to manage the time for activities and take control of their own learning. In independent learning, time management is non-negotiable and twenty percent of time will be for classes, seminars or tutorials and eighty percent of time will be for independent learning such as reading, class preparation and writing assignment. (University of Kent, n.d). Through this the student can get motivated, ready to overcome challenges and be an excellent time manager. Excellent time management can help student to reread and revise what they have written and will have ample of time to understand the information that can be a supporting documents or act as a source. Basic English skills mistake such as spelling, punctuation and grammar can be crosschecked within time frame. Suggested tips on time management by Bright Knowledge Organization (n.d) are such as avoid interruptions, divide time, set targets, start timetable, make to do list, be inspired, be active, plan time for family and
