Although it all starts with these gang members out in the streets, the rate of gang violence within the prison is still increasing. Rape is a serious crime made around the world. Each day there is a new victim to rape. There is no “consensual intercourse” or “non-consensual intercourse”. There is only intercourse and rape. Rape is a violent act that damages the human spirit. Any victim of a rape could completely shut down their mind without thinking about it. Their spirits could be damaged within a second. Prison rape causes the same emotional feeling. One shuts down completely and wants no contact with anyone else. Any victim of a rape can become so hurt that they have to the will to commit suicide. Any victim of rape has to go through a trial a have to think back on the day of the rape. Each victim has to face their rapist so that they can properly be taken care of. Each individual that has been a victim to rape can become emotionally unstable and is likely to become very distant from others. This, sometimes, may include family members or close friends. The damage of rape is so intense that the human mind has no strength to even get up in the morning and brush their teeth. It emotionally and physically shuts down the individual. The individual huts down emotionally by not want to speak or hear of anyone they once loved to speak to or hear.
