9/26/16 Many people struggle with the choice of deciding if going to college will be a positive or negative benefit for their future. There are various factors that may influence a person's decision on going to college. The good outcomes on going to college is that going to college benefits your future by giving you more skills to obtain more money, than those who don’t. The New York Times argue and prove that college has long lasting future benefits. The main reason that people choose to go to college is because your earnings are higher than those who don’t. I believe college is a good benefit because salaries for college graduates are higher than those who don’t have a college degree. The gap between college graduates and high school graduates are high and are still rising. By interviewing my dad who is a construction worker and earns a decent amount of money I learned it is very important to finish college. He says “ I still wish I would've completed college because I would probably be making more money right now.” My dad is most likely right, he even still has a second working job. My main reasoning on going to college is because of the experience and skills I will need to be at professional level to earn good income to support me and my family. Although I have learned so much in my high school experience there is much more I need to endure and learn to become a responsible, educated and successful adult. College prepares you for the real world and gives you the upper hand to get a job faster. Once you are in a field that you have a passion for, which is a major factor to what you want to pursue in life, it becomes a mandatory goal to accomplish it by finishing college. Trust me you won't regret it and I know I won't
