The Ardipithecus group consisted of: Sahelanthropus Tchadensis, Orrorin Tugenensis, Ardipithecus Kadabba, and Ardipithecus Ramidus. Ardi’s fossils were found alongside faunal remains which indicates Ardi lived in a wooded environment which then contradicts the open savanna theory for the origin of bipedalism.
