The Greeks built temples, theatres, gymnasiums, assembly halls, as well as homes to complete their cities. Greek temples were created as homes for the gods, therefore they were considered extremely important. An outstanding example of a Greek temple is the temple of Concord, Argentino, which is the second best preserved Greek temple. The theatres looked very similar to the assembly halls. Though the theatres were made for performances, the assembly halls were to host meetings. Gymnasiums, for the Greeks, were very similar to the gymnasiums in schools today, but with extra rooms for special training. Undersized, simple, the homes were not used to a great extent, due to a climate that allowed everyone to spend their time outdoors. Covered walkways, or colonnades, bordering places like the markets, together with stone tombs are some examples of the other structures built in ancient Greece.
