Hitler In The Film, What Is Hitler A Monster?

Throughout the film Hitler is shown throughout many different periods in life. However, the one thing that is present through it all is that he is shown as a monster. The film shows the growth of Hitler from a young boy to a man. It shows how he came to have a hatred for the Jews and how he became so evil as people say. It shows how he truly was a monster. While there may have been some scenes showing a softer side of him he really was crazy, and nothing stopped him. Throughout the film showing him in different periods of life it showed how damaged he was from a young age. The film fully wanted to display that Hitler was a monster, but the start of the film almost makes it seem like they want you to feel bad for him. It shows a young boy being beaten by his father and then both his parents dying. While on the other hand if you listen to the dialogue and pay close attention you can see that they are not trying to make you feel bad for him. When his father dies you can see that he just sits there and does nothing to help him. Then he is told his mother has only a short time to live he says, “She'll do anything to ruin …show more content…
However, he never lets her have freedom. There are a few scenes when they first meet that it is thought oh maybe they will be happy, but this is shown to be false. The first moment you are shown their relationship wont end like we all hope is when Hitler brings Geli into a field. Hitler crouches down and has Geli begin to circle around him. He tells her to go faster and stop and she may not speak. She gets very frightened by this and she begins to cry. Things only go downhill after that Hitler brings Geli to the city, but she is not allowed to do anything alone. She must always have a body guard and she isn’t allowed to fall in love. At one point during the movie Geli says, “You can't imagine what he asks of me.” In the end Geli ends up committing suicide because of the pain and fear she is
