Ceremonial Use and Safety:
Do not use ceremonial swords for re-enactment fighting. The Ceremonial swords are forged and designed for providing durability and flexibility but they lack the toughness to withstand the heavy impact of a blade-to-blade contact. On-Going Care and Maintenance:
Inspect the leather fittings regularly along with the metal parts of your military sword.
Read the sword and saber manual carefully before using it.
Periodically clean and wipe your sword and the scabbards with a lightly oiled cloth.
While storing your military sword in a cloth bag, its better to first wrap them up in a plastic bag as there are possibilities that the cloth may absorb some humidity from the atmosphere, thus rusting the metal components.
Store your sword and the leather scabbards away from the direct sunlight or heat.
In case you are storing your military sword for prolonged periods of time, unsheathed them from the scabbard and store them separately.
Children tend to have a natural fascination with swords and often mishandle them. Supervise children closely and know that the misuse of a sword is dangerous.
Simply treating your military swords with respect and care will easily keep them looking brand new for many years to
