The chapter also discusses how morbidity is measured and the effects morbidity had on individuals and society. The picture I drew is essentially a cycle where an issues arises in the public, then trickles down to a health care providers who combine their data with other doctors in an agency, which is then complied into reports that can see trends like new cases of diseases or possible outbreaks, which then goes back into society to be implemented and make aware of possible health issues that people should be mindful of to protect themselves.

Mortality is different from morbidity in that mortality measures the rate of death, while morbidity measure the conditions of disease. Mortality data can be useful in many ways. Comparing different populations and what different population die from, and why, can be useful to determine how to resolve the problem.
