The mother had to go get MB, pick him up and sit him down at the table to focus on the questions. MB also had good use of gross motor skills but did not use these skills in a safe manner; he played on the jungle gym at the park in a manner that made the parent and the observer very nervous for his safety. He did listen or follow rules that were set out by the mother. He also when demonstrating his gross motor skills threw the ball multiple times at the observer and mother trying to hit them without warning. Since MB is excelling in most of the skills assessed the only recommendation would be to help with MB’s grammar by correcting his communication by modeling the correct sentence structure. For example if MB says “her is not listening;” the parent or caregiver should repeat back “she is not listening?” Then the parent or caregiver could acknowledge the statement once corrected.
