In this discussion, I will first, give an overview of integrated services and interprofesional collaboration. Secondly, I will explain why integrated services and interprofesional collaboration are important to the clients in the video. Next, I will clarify my action plan to integrate services for the clients. Finally, through the discussion I will identify professionals or organizations within the network of intergrated services and their duties.

Although, Integrating services could be difficult it can also be worthwhile to the client and professionals. Therefore, integrating services are important and necessary for this family. An example of services could include Medicaid. We are unsure of the employment status of the Mother however, the family is in need of counseling and John has not returned to work. Although his employment status was more of a freeze verses a termination it is believed that insurance did not continue because John qualified for unemployment.
It appears the Human Services Professional (HSP) has established an interprofessional collaboration. In past sessions, the HSP discussed other organizations such as DSS, Employment Commission, the attorney, housing officials, a counselor and John’s employer. These professionals are vital to this family because all entities bring outcomes to the table to help the family through this ordeal.
My action plan to integrate services would be to connect John with legal aide. Although the charges were dropped these charges would continue to show on my criminal background as a dropped charge. For some employers, this is still not expectable which could cause John to become unemployable. Therefore, legal aide would be a great source for exspoungement
