“With great power, comes great responsibility.” In Macbeth, the main character Macbeth comes into a great deal of power. He becomes a king but he also becomes ruthless. What started out as a quick murder plan to become king, ended up as a bloodbath in the castle. It makes one think, Did he do this because he was thirsty for power? Or were the witches prophecies inevitable? Does this relate to our society, today? Personally, I think it does not. In Macbeth, we learned that you can kill your way up to the top. Is that necessarily valid for this day and age? In the United States of America, we have a democracy. You have to be a certain age and have all of these other requirements to be able to play an important part in our government.
