Nick Carraway is the novel’s narrator. He is a young man around his 29s from Minnesota. He grew up in a wealthy family. He likes literature and went to Yale where he met Tom Buchanan. He fought in World War I and after he had moved to New York to work in the bond business. He began to live in West Egg district of Long Island next door to Jay Gatsby – the main character of the novel.
