Starting off with Marx concept of alienation, alienation is the dehumanization of wage workers. There are four aspects of alienation , first workers are alienated from the product of their labor, second, they are alienated from the means of production, thirdly, their own being ,and lastly dehumanized from society. When workers are alienated we become less and less attached with ourselves”. For Marx, alienation is inherent in capitalism, because the process of production and the results of our labor confront us as a dominating power”( Appelrouth&Edles, 47). In today 's society many of jobs provided by capitalist alienate wage workers in many ways. Let 's take workers ,working at a fast food restaurant as an example. Workers do not get to decide how much they can sell the product of their labor for, that is already taking care of by the capitalist or business owners, thus alienating them from the product of their labor. When making a hamburger the worker had to follow guidelines giving to them by the company to make the burger, they are not allowed to to add or remove what goes onto the burger. In this case the worker is alienated from the means of production, the materials used for making the product. For many a typical working shift in contemporary society is about eight hours, five days a week. When performing the same activities daily , workers become alienated with his species being. Grilling a burger or cleaning tables all day does not allow for the worker to exercise their creative nature. Finally alienation is seen in today 's society because workers according to Marx, becomes alienated from humanity as a whole. “ the proposition that man 's species nature is estranged from him means that one man is estranged from the other, as each of them is from man 's essential nature”(
