People are believed to behave different from one another. There are many factors that plays into a person behavior. A person that lives in a low income area behavior is different from a person in a middle class area. A person character can be influence by the environment he or she is in. A low income person environment can influence his or her behavior, because they are less educated and have more criminal activities in their communities. A middle class person environment is very different. They have a better education and there is little to no criminal activity in their communities. An environment and surroundings a very important to young juveniles, because a lot of kids grow from their environment. It can be a bad environment that fighting, stealing, and other petty crimes goes on daily. These kids end up being a product of their environment. If they see stealing, drug dealing, and petty crimes going on daily, they think that is the norm. Unless they are in a middle class environment or have parents who care, they will end up in the criminal justice system.
The labeling theory has its pros and cons. Our society loves stereotyping and labeling people. Once a criminal, always a criminal. I say once a criminal and you should learn from your mistakes, and try not to be a criminal no more. It’s a tuff label to get rid of, but if you try hard and do the hard right instead of the easy wrong, you will be accepted in
