Texas case overturned a law put into place to take away the constitutional rights of individuals who engage in homosexual activities. It mainstreamed Texas and the Federal Government of the United States. The case caused the U.S. Constitution to not remain in violation. In addition to law-making, this particular cause also helped Texas adjust to the rest of the world. Texas has always adopted and did its own thing; Texas has had a hard time agreeing with the laws that were being passed through legislation, especially when it came to the homosexual community. Prime example, about a year ago on June 26, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled for same-sex couples to marry in all 50 states. Texas among other states had a problem with that.
