They had various weaknesses. The greatest weakness I observed was hygiene. Despite the rooms being washed daily, there was always dirt the next day. They would leave the dirty dishes till the next day, this breed cockroaches and rodents around the home. Some of the kids could eat in bed and leave their dirty plates there.
Lack of equipment, this left me wondering how they previously cleaned the place without any of those equipment. They lacked soap, rugs and washing cloth. They seem to over rely on donors such that they can’t buy for themselves the smallest of the things they really need.
Small crowded compound, the home is in a very small piece of land therefore making the place look congested and crowded. From the administration area there are toilets very close and then the classroom and kitchen. I think that the smoke from the kitchen really affects the students when in class. They also don’t have ample playing ground for the kids and play is vital in a child’s growth and development
Lack of mentors/role models to guide, mentor, motivate and encourage the children in education as well as talents and development of skills.
