The first episode contained a set of characters that were permanently dismissed from the show. Eventually, a new set of characters in future episodes will engage in the journey. In addition, the Man in the high castle also has elements of MOW since the episode ending has strong clues as to the continuing episodes(Butler 32). The show has its strengths in leading the viewer into a state of questioning. But at the same time, it may not be considered a MOW since the show itself isn’t available on cable television and requires a subscription. Furthermore, there are also elements of serial since the entire situation is about remembering the recent past of the war(Butler 41). The characters motivations often stem from the result of the previous war. The element of nostalgia is a central role to the story line and its deeper meanings.
